Today Veronica stayed home from work, as she had been fighting a bug all week, then this morning her throat was killing her, so much so that she couldn’t eat a thing. She got to the doctors office mid-morning and was diagnosed with strep throat.

All together now, “Awww, poor Veronica!”

Anyway, she got some prescription drugs, took a nice nap and is starting to feel better.  A short while ago, she was downstairs with PP while I was (still am!) sitting uptairs watching TV with DB when I got the following text:

Proposition for you: once the kids go to bed, you, me, leopard dress, boots, couch, I face the wall until you cum in my mouth

I replied that we could arrange that, if she’s really up for it.  Her reply?

Excelllllllent! Maybe take a pic for the Twitter feed

I don’t know, you think she’s feeling better?  If you’re not following me on Twitter, you might miss something good later.  Then again, I just might post a picture on here tomorrow as well ;-)

There is no post-processing to mess with the colors, this is how drab the sky looked all day Thursday! I’m sooo ready for spring!!

=========================================================================

The camera chain where Veronica bought my DSLR offers free classes with every new camera purchase.  I missed the first class when I was in Florida 2 weeks ago, but due to a scheduling change due to a snowstorm a few weeks ago, the class on Wednesday was the one that I missed!

The class was pretty good, there were just 4 of us, and the instructor really knows his stuff.  The first class was really basic for the most part, going over the basics of the controls, talking about the different types of cameras, etc.  But starting next week, it’s all DSLR-based content and we’ll be working exclusively in the different manual modes.  After 2 weeks of that, there’s a week each for going over quality lighting and filters.

As he was talking about camera modes, he mentioned that Program mode can be thought of as “Auto- light” in that shutter speed and aperture are controlled, but the photographer can change the combination of the 2 that results in the same exposure.  This also gives the photographer access to certain controls that don’t work in any of the Auto modes, such as playing with flash or white balance settings.

One thing the instructor did was challenge us to use program mode more, so starting with the picture of the day you see above, I hope that all of my pictures from here on out will be taking in something other than auto mode!

I have a fantastic camera, it’s time to start taking full advantage of what we can do together!
