I’m seen others play this meme, so I thought I would give it a whirl. Click on the button above if you want to play!
1. How old is the oldest pair of shoes in your closet?
I have a pair of casual shoes that are probably 5 yrs old, and my snow boots are probably about that old as well.
2. Did you buy Girl Scout cookies this year? If so, what variety?
No I didn’t, because I’m trying to lose a few pounds and if I bought a box of Thin Mints, there is a distinct possibility that I would eat the entire box in a day. What’s the name of the ones with peanut butter, those are pretty damn good too!
3. Do you know how to ballroom dance? If not, would you like to?
I used to, kind of. As an undergraduate phys ed major, we all had to take a semester of ballroom dance. As it turns out, the guys outnumbered the girls by quite a bit and I ended up pairing up with my roommate from freshman year (I think I took this class my senior yr) and at the start of each class he and I would argue about who would take the lead and who would be the chick and follow. Fun times!
4. Were you a responsible child/teenager?
Very much so, especially as a teenager. My parents divorced when I was 16 but my mom kept the house, so it was she and I and my younger sister and I was expected to take care of a lot of the stuff around the house. This was actually a big bone of contention between my sister and I, as she was definitely the rebellious teen. Following 2 yrs behind me in school, she got a lot of “why can’t you be a good student like your brother was?” from some asshat teachers, which really wasn’t fair to her.
5. How many of this year’s Oscar-nominated movies did you see?
None. Veronica and I love the movies, but we have different tastes and rarely go. I’ll rent a few of this years nominees on blu-ray someday.
6. If you’re going to have a medical procedure done, such as having blood drawn, is it easier for you to watch someone else having the procedure done or have it done yourself?
Either one! In my former enlisted life in the Army, I was a medical lab tech and a pretty good phlebotomist.
7. What is your favorite day of the week and why?
Friday! Isn’t that everyone’s favorite? And isn’t the reason obvious?
8. Do you miss anyone right now?
Absolutely! And some of the people I miss most, at least seeing in person, might be reading this today.
9. Do hospitals make you queasy?
Not at all. Though they are big germ factories, so I’d prefer not to spend too much time in one!
10. At which store would you like to max-out your credit card. Not that you ever would, you responsible person, you.
It would be easy to do that at Best Buy, perhaps a camera store, and definitely a furniture store. We have an eclectic collection of hand-me-down and used furniture and it would be nice to replace some of it.
11. Are you true to the brand names of products/items?
Not really, though for some stuff I am. If I need a to buy hand tool, nothing but Craftsmen will do. Generic breakfast cereal tastes like the box in came in to me, but for many things, I don’t really care.
12. Which is more difficult: looking into someone’s eyes when you are telling someone how you feel, or looking into someone’s eyes when he/she is telling you how he/she feels?
Neither, I’m perfectly comfortable looking directly into someone’s eyes during an intimate conversation.
Happy Hump Day!!
