You ever look forward to something, only to be disappointed in the experience once it finally happens?

I can recall a TMI Tuesday question, once upon a time, about over-rated sex positions.  I wrote about the 69 position and if I remember correctly, so did a number of other bloggers.  Don’t get me wrong, I love to eat pussy and of course I love a good or even a bad blowjob.  But both at the same time?     I totally agree with you about 69. It’s a total distraction, and not pleasurable for me.

    DP has never appealed to me in anyway. I’m not exactly sure why. It just doesn’t.

    As far as harnesses, the Joque SpareParts harness is pretty fucking cool. It’s totally comfortable, and very adjustable without the bulk some other harnesses have. I love it.

    As far as volunteers . . . I’m skilled with a strap-on, but I have never used one on a woman. I can’t imagine it’s much different than fucking a guy though.

    We have reasonably good luck with the Vac-u-lock system by Doc Johnson. It is reasonably inexpensive which is good if this not something that you would use often.

    I used to think the same thing about the 69 position but with my latest bf, I actually love it. I don’t know… it used to be a concentration thing for me but now, I find I’m able to orgasm faster with him in my mouth.

    We’ve tried with Ruf and a dildo and Ruf and a vibrator but I’m so tiny that, when Ruf starts thrusting, unless I hold the other item in, we lose it. I’m just not sure there would be room to accommodate two moving parts comfortably for anyone.

    you know whats funny is that although it is something that has always intrigued me, i have always thought the same thing. how physically awkward could this be. would i stop it from happening because of that? i doubt it.

    I’ve tried a DP with two guys before and, like you said, it was extremely awkward. I LOVED the feeling of it, but we had to keep switching positions in order to find one that worked, which we never did. I would think trying a DP with a strap on would present the same positioning problems, though I’m more than willing to try that out!
    I’ve done DP with a dildo/butt plug/vibrator and my partner, though, which is ALWAYS amazing. :)

    I find the 69 challenging because of the height difference between me and Hubman. With a 10″ height difference, if I am at the right angle for eating, I can’t reach much of his cock.

    I’m not a fan of 69 either. Actually, the first time I ever did it, I burst out laughing at how ridiculous I felt and how awkwardly distracting it was. I think I hurt the guys feeling (he got over it btw) ;) I mean, its not the most awful thing, but not my first choice.

    Strap ons – no experience with that, but I’m not ruling it out for future play! That reminds me that I have an interesting formspring question about strap ons that I need to answer.

    In my experience, DP is tricky and requires an EXPERIENCED threesome. I don’t mean just that all three are experienced lovers, but that all three of you have played around well enough to know each other’s rhythms and style, including the other guys understanding each other a bit. I used to share a girlfriend regularly with her other guy, and we were able to pull this off sometimes, always with me in her ass and him underneath.
