First thing on my agenda when I reached Dallas on Saturday was to have lunch with ShesTooMuch at Twisted Root burgers.  Fortunately the restaurant was literally down the street from the hotel Veronica and I stayed at 2 weeks ago, so I knew exactly where I was going!  After a delicious lunch, we walked down the street to a mural park I noticed on the way there so that I could take some pictures. We then decided to drive up to White Rock Lake and hang out there until she had to return home.  We spent another hour or so enjoying the perfect weather and the pleasure of each others company.  How about this view of the Dallas skyline?

After we parted ways, I spent some time exploring the area before meeting other friends for a night out in Ft Worth.  The whole reason for this little trip was to see theBsideOFme again.  Veronica and I met her and some others back in February when she was in Massachusetts and we had talked about getting together while I was down here.  It took 8 weeks, but we finally succeeded!  We were also joined by OnlyWhenI, big_diel,  SpecialK, PandaDementia and jstolle for dinner on the outdoor patio of a very good (and popular!) Mexican restaurant, followed by a night at a karaoke bar.

Panda can sing, that girl is good!!!  Unfortunately the same could not be said of some of the other bar patrons.  Though the pretty brunette at the table behind me was a pleasure to watch AND listen too!  We could have done without the crowd of drunk TCU idiots who showed up around midnight, but I didn’t let their antics spoil my fun.

Thanks to everyone I visited with yesterday, it was well worth the trip!!
