Click for Part I and Part II

This weeks theme at the Digital Photography School is “Decay” so Darling Boy and I headed back to the old abandoned rock quarry in town, I remembered that this car was there.  From the shape, I think it’s a Volvo, but I can’t be sure…

While I was there, and since the leaves are starting to turn color, I grabbed some other shots as well, I like the reflection in the water in this shot.  As I mentioned in Part I, it was my intention to take pictures at the quarry during each of the seasons, and made it back in the spring for Part II.  Unfortunately my excursion to Texas caused me to miss a summer picture when everything was green.  Oh well…

Love the car and perspective, especially shooting the decaying, rusting car through the leaves changing from green, to yellow, to red, the brown leaves on the ground.

    Very nice, Hubman.

Fall pictures make me long to be up north again. That’s beautiful!

I really like the first shot. It’s something destroyed among so much living and thriving. The second shot is just gorgeous. I favor shots with water in them, though. :D
