Time: 2:00 pm
Place: State Park
It was ridiculously nice out, with temps in the mid-40s I had to grab my camera and head to a local state park in search of photo opportunities. The beach, not that you can tell it’s a beach, in the top photo was the location for one of the pictures in the Caught- A Photo Essay group post. And the path I was walking on in the bottom photo? I’ve been there before too

Here we go again!
Quite simply, I know that I’m still growing as a photographer AND that I enjoyed my first Project365. Last year’s Day 1 has the general guidelines and what I set out to do, which hasn’t really changed. So why not just keep going?
Several weeks ago I mentioned the idea of theme weeks, where I would focus (haha) on something, whether it’s black and white photography, architectural images, the kids, views from my truck, macro images, whatever, and I’m looking forward to trying those ideas out.
The other day I set my camera to record the images only in RAW mode and I’ve begun using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. My free trial download expires in 10 days and I’m still on the fence about continuing to shoot in RAW or letting my camera render the JPGs that you’ll see here.
Next weekend I’m taking a 2 day workshop offered by Nikon School that I’m excited about. Veronica got me a gift certificate for a photowalk tour of Boston which I’ll redeem when it’s warmer out. I’m sure that there will be work-related travel in the coming year that will offer photographic opportunities (Baltimore, Washington DC and Denver are all on the agenda), along with some family getaways.
I’m excited to continue my journey as an aspiring photographer and hope you’ll continue to follow along!
