Thursday night we’re taking the kids and going to the Patriots-Giants preseason football game at Gillette Stadium.  A few weeks ago Emmy wrote about some photography lessons learned at the track, which included renting a lens next time. Knowing full well that I’d get better shots with a telephoto, I heeded her advice and rented one!

Look at this beauty, a Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II. Retail price $2399.95, rented for a week for just about $100. I’m going to have fun playing with this toy!

WOW. Impressive. I’m sure you could get awesome shots no matter where you sat with that baby.

    Jaysus, that’s a Whopper!

You’d be able to zoom up someone’s nostrils to see their sinuses with that jobby.

Can’t wait to see the pictures you get with that one.

Forget about zooming up someone’s nose. Zoom up a crotch and you will see tonsils. : 0

Nice piece of glass! It’s amazing the difference quality glass can make! Just as a side note, Sigma make a lense very similar in specification, but a fair degree cheaper. If you ever look to buy something like this, might be worth a try before you buy.
