It’s been a while since I’ve done a brain-dump post so here’s some random things on my mind today…
21 years ago yesterday Veronica and I met at a keg party while in college and we’ve been together ever since. Times flies when you’re having fun!

Tuesday I had lunch with Katie. Why? I tried to end things with her via email, but she just didn’t get it. We’ve had some email back and forth since then and she seems to think that she can shelve the emotional stuff and go back to being fuck-buddies. I needed to see her face-to-face and reinforce that it’s over.
I guess I’m not very good at ending things.
I didn’t lead her on or invite anything, but when she suggested that she could come over next week when Veronica is away, I didn’t slam the door on the idea. (She already knew about V’s trip.) Then yesterday she emailed me, going on and on about how nice it was to see me, how she’s missed me and how she’s looking forward to seeing me next week.
Yeah, I gotta email her and tell her no, it’s over.

Work generally does a GREAT job when someone losses a family member, has a major medical issue, gives birth to a child, whatever. There’s always a card for the occasion, sometimes there is a collection if a gift would be appropriate, and there’s a mass-email to the entire workforce. It shows that they care.
When my step-dad died several weeks ago, I let me immediate supervisor and a couple of other key leaders know. At the very least, they needed to know because I needed to take some time off so I could go to the funeral.
Was there any acknowledgement of my families loss? Nope, absolutely nothing.
I made an off-hand comment to my boss the other day and he blew me off. Totally pissed me off.

Had something odd happen last night. I crawled into bed, snapped a photo and texted it to a couple of friends of mine. Some of them know each other, some don’t. Moments later one of them said something on Twitter about getting a text from an area code she didn’t recognize. I recognized the area code, one of those friends who got the photo lives there.
Somehow, she replied-to-all to a text message. I didn’t know that was possible.
Or, I sent it to her email by mistake and she replied to all that way. But I have no idea why she would do that. She and I hope to catch up and chat this weekend, it’s been a while, so I’ll ask her so I can figure out what happened. Fortunately my other friend understood what happened when I explained it to her, so there was no harm done.

I need to find some photography inspiration, I feel like I’m in a rut and just taking pics to take pics. Plus, I bought an external flash a couple of months ago and still haven’t put in the time to really gain control over it, it’s kicking my ass.
Any Project365 theme ideas? I’m open to suggestions!

This will be my first weekend at home in 3 weeks and the forecast is calling for rain tomorrow. I hope so, I could use a rainy day spent in the house wearing sweats and a t-shirt.
Enough brain-dumping, I am at work, I suppose I should do something!
