We’re driving down the street, I’m taking her back to her car. Her panties are still on the floor and her skirt is hiked up, giving me access to her very damp pussy.

My hand is between her thighs, I’m alternately sliding a finger in and out and rubbing her clit.

“Oh right there, right there, that’s it!”

Wow, I wasn’t really expecting that reaction from her!

But I’m afraid it wasn’t what I thought.

I missed the turn for the parking lot and her car :-/

We did get a good laugh out of it!

Most of these names mean nothing to many of you reading today, but 2-3 yrs ago, back when I started blogging, these and others where a regular presence in the little portion of the blogosphere that I found myself in. Of course just like in “real” life friends and acquaintances come and go, but doesn’t mean that older ones are forgotten.

I wonder if any of them will see this and say hi, that would be nice…

This may or may not be true… :-)

What book?

Sadie’s book,  Open All The Way, of course!

Many of us in the “sex-blogger” and HNT realms of the blogosphere are of course familiar with Sadie and her blog, Sexy Sadie’s Stories of Seduction: Confessions From My Open Marriage. Considering that I’m the 14th or so stop on her virtual book tour, you almost might know that she’s written a book and self-published it as an e-book.  Her book isn’t just a retelling of confessions that she’s already shared on her incredibly well-written and thoughtful blog, the e-book is the prologue to the blog.

Just how open Sadie approaches her life (and lifestyle) is captured in this chapter, the only chapter than overlaps with her blogging, which talks about how she shared not only her lifestyle but her blog with her mother.

Thankfully my mom waited a while before she worked up the courage to do an Internet search for “Sadie blog, Open Marriage.” She found it easily and read every page, skimming over the more colorful parts, yet still managing to glean insight as to what I’d been up to in my not-so-private life. And although some of what she read distressed her, due mostly to concerns for my safety, she was able to see past the brashness of some of my posts and see me in the shadows of my words. And she did not judge.

She reminded me that she was from a different generation: the era of sex as a closed-door activity. Where she hailed from, sex wasn’t something that was spoken about publicly, nor was it used as a means of self-expression. And as far as she knew, sex itself had no relevance to a particular lifestyle—one that people might enjoy reading about in a public forum. But I was pleased that my mother was able to see the me that I ached to present to her; the me who had carved out her own little place in cyberspace, the me who had much to say on the subject of sex and all its variances, the me who she could now recognize as consequential and capable and even sometimes entertaining.

The value in that was absolutely immeasurable.

And since then I have discovered that, even though my mother might not always approve of what I do or how I do it, she doesn’t judge me for my choices. She understands that they are mine to make. Besides, above all else, she is happy that I am writing

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Sadie in person twice, in Texas last summer and again in the fall at the 2011 NYC Sex Blogger Calendar release party (she’s Ms November). A piece of Sadie trivia, that she may not even remember- almost 2 yrs ago, when Veronica and I were thinking about starting a semi-regular open relationship advice column, she’s the one who suggested “Swing Shift” when we were looking for a title for the column. She’s one of the diminishing group of people I’ve known ever since I’ve been blogging, I think our respective original blogs were started around the same time. Even if I hadn’t known her for that long, and have a soft spot in my heart for her (and a hard on in my pants :-) ) I’d still tell you,

GO OUT AND BUY HER BOOK!!

One of my 3 wishes for HNT last week was for my friend M who blogs at Rumblings and Bumblings to get internet access at home and resume blogging.

Guess what?  She wrote a post today!  Just a little teaser of more to come, but it’s a start!

On top of that, Saucy Wildcat came out of hibernation and posted something for the first time in 6 months!

Two old friends return to the blogosphere on the same day, I’m a happy man.

You know what would make me even happier?  If you clicked on the links to their blogs and welcomed them back.

What are you waiting for? GO!

I teased you about being out with a blogger friend when I posted this picture of the Wonder Works building on Monday.

And I tease you again when I mentioned going to a blogger friends house when I posted the  Sunset Silhouette photograph on Friday.

Are you the least bit curious to know who I was teasing you about?

Click here, my dear friend Ivey Lane wrote all about it!

Okay, not literally everyone, Veronica and I have more than a few readers and our house isn’t that big!

On the day after Thanksgiving last year, in response to a number of people expressing displeasure with their Thanksgiving Day plans, or lack thereof, we wrote the following:

Here are the Top 9 Reasons to attend Blogger-Giving at Hubman and Veronica’s

  1. An awesome (adult only) group HNT of everyone’s butts.
  2. A  lovely breakfast on Thursday with the Macy’s parade on TV
  3. A full Thanksgiving dinner (perhaps we can do it Italian style and even have ravioli)
  4. Football!  Football!  Football!
  5. Lots of Booze.
  6. Veronica insisting that we all crash at whatever guests are staying at the local Holiday Inn Express so we can swim off dinner in the pool.
  7. On Friday, a road trip to Plymouth Rock to see the replica of the Mayflower and enjoy the history.
  8. Lots of food, fun, and friendly conversation with people who do not know every button to push or any magical phrases to make you feel guilty.
  9. For those who have kids, hopefully there will be tons of kids around so they will all play with each other and not bug the parents.  Then if the weather’s nice we can have the kiddie table outside!

Did you think we were kidding?  We’re not!

Have either of us met you?  Have we ever spoken on the phone?  Do we know your real name?  Then you’re invited!  If you can’t answer yes but think we’d enjoy the pleasure of your company anyway, let us know and we’ll see.

So who’s in?

A few days ago I unexpectedly found myself invited to join a lovely young lady in a pool.  I wasn’t prepared to go swimming, so I just stripped down to my Calvin’s and dove right in.

Of course, once I got out, I had to take them off  *Click-click* ;-)

Come back tomorrow, there’s more to tell about this little party Veronica and I went to.
I promise, you won’t be disappointed!

[The original When Worlds Collide post can be found here. It involves Emmy, her husband Garbonzo and my office wife from grad school meeting!]

I can’t remember when I started my Facebook page (or if I did, it might have been Veronica who set up my account), but it’s always been the vanilla side of “Hubman”.  Among my friends, besides many family members, there are old friends from childhood and high school, college buddies, including the guys responsible for Veronica and I meeting, and some professional colleagues.

For a while, I’ve been ignoring my Facebook account.  Frankly, between blogs and my Twitter account, Facebook was just too damn boring. When I saw the Facebook group “I was gonna post a status, then I remembered I have family on faceboook..”, I knew I had to join!!  At the same time, my employer started blocking a number of social networking websites.  Recently they lifted some of those website restrictions and I can visit Facebook from work, so I’ve starting using it again.  A quick visit to see what some friends are up to and leave comment here or there is a nice mental break sometimes.  At least until I see one too many Farmville updates…

===================================================================

As I’ve gotten to know some blogger friends, and developed an implicit trust in their ability to keep “Hubman” and the real me separate, we’ve become Facebook friends.  I’ve occasionally wondered if any family members look at my status updates and wonder who some of the other people are.  But if they ever ask, between the various schools that Veronica and I have attended in different states and my prior military service, it’s not too difficult to come up with a plausible explanation as to how I know someone from some other part of the country.

Thursday morning I updated my status, something about the ungodly hour I was up at and why.  Within a few hours there was a comment from my dad, followed by comments from 3 blogger friends and “likes” from a girl I’ve known since we went to Sunday School together 30 yrs ago and a friend from a local college.

I know I’m not the only one with a mix of naughty/blogger and vanilla/real-life friends on Facebook.  But does anyone else alternately cringe and grin when they see comments from a parent and an extra-marital lover alongside each other?  Or is it just me?

Birthday Wishes

Today is my friend @Hot In the Tropics‘s birthday, so I was looking at someecards to find something appropriately snarky to send her.  Then I decided, why just share with her? And why stop at 1 card?

Happy Birthday! :-D

I can easily remember that today is her birthday because today is also my mom’s birthday.  Happy Birthday Mom!

Back in July when our friend M visited us, we took her for a tour of Boston.  We enjoyed showing her around, even if she’s a freak and didn’t like cannoli from Mike’s Pastry.  A few weeks ago Southern Vixen visited and again, we took her for a tour of Boston.  Why not, right?  Neither of them had ever seen the city before, I know my way around pretty well, and I even have access to free parking in the heart of the North End, aka Boston’s Little Italy!

So now that the female half of The Dirty Side is here [dammit, still need a name for her!], again we have a guest who has never been to Boston before.  So off we went.  As a bonus, knowing that I’m shopping around for a digital SLR, she brought her Canon Rebel 450D for me to play with, which is what I used for these pictures.

Right from where we parked, we could see 2 significant historical sights, the USS Constitution aka Old Ironsides in the foreground and the Bunker Hill monument in the background.

Just a few blocks down the street is another sight, the Old North Church and a statue of Paul Revere.  Remember “One if by land, two if by sea”?  Yes, this is that church tower!

As we headed out of the North End and towards government center, we had a good view of the TD Garden, home of the Celtics and Bruins, along with the Zakim Bridge.

Just a few blocks later we reached what I think of as the heart of historical Boston, the Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall/Old State House area. This is the front of Faneuil Hall.

I have a lot more pictures, some of which I’ll probably mix in with other posts later this week.

We’ve had a fantastic visit with her so far and will be sad to see her go tomorrow.  But she has kids of her own missing her and a job to return to.  Not to mention a husband who has been teased with pictures all weekend long ;-)
