Today I’m off from “work” so this is how I plan on spending a good part of my day.
I’ll probably take a nap at some time. Anyone care to join me? I’d be happy to make room for you

With the end of summer upon us and thoughts turning to the beginning of another school year, I wonder how many people think of a college education in investment terms. Probably not as many who should. Think about these numbers: between Veronica and I, we have 5 degrees, BA and MA for her, BS, MS, and Ph.D. [...] My dad has Sirius Satellite Radio in his car, which is really a damn shame, all he listens to is the 60′s station, no variety at all. I think that he’s been stuck in a musical time-warp since he was in his twenties, maybe his early thirties, which at least gets us to the early 1970′s. [...] Sometime Friday morning Veronica will be boarding a flight and heading to Dallas, arriving early in the afternoon. As soon as I get out of “work” on Friday, I’ll be getting in my truck and hightailing it north to join her. The occasion? Sunday is our 17th wedding anniversary. Anyone care to guess how long it’ll take once [...] I know a man…. 30 plus years of service to his country, he completes a command assignment just 9 months prior to his mandatory retirement date. He could easily file his retirement papers now and start collecting a well-earned pension. Or maybe he’s not quite ready to go yet, so he’s given a nice cushy desk job [...] It’s funny how things work sometimes. Two weeks ago I published Maybe honesty isn’t the best policy, griping about my difficulties finding a playmate here in San Antonio. Around 9pm that night, I logged into AFF to find a message from a woman that I had already exchanged a few messages with, this time she gave [...] A few days ago I unexpectedly found myself invited to join a lovely young lady in a pool. I wasn’t prepared to go swimming, so I just stripped down to my Calvin’s and dove right in. Of course, once I got out, I had to take them off *Click-click*
On Friday morning I moved out the hotel that’s located 6 miles away from where I go for “work” while I’m here. I’m now in the lodging that is literally across the street from “work”, a 5 minute walk instead of a 12-15 minute drive. I also have more living space, a kitchenette, a reliable LAN [...] Ever since I’ve been here in San Antonio, most evenings end with me relaxing in bed, computer on my lap, while I chat with Twitter friends and peruse my favorite blogs until it’s time to go to sleep. But those damn friends, they always inspire such wicked thoughts *click-click*
