It’s no secret that we’re big fans of anal play here, so when the fine folks at Crystal Delights Erotic Toys offered to send us one of their new plugs, I was quick to say yes. We already have another one of their plugs and we use it as a regular part of our play, so I was looking forward to seeing what they would send us.  From their website:

When Veronica first saw the Crystal Twist Mini Plug, her first thought was “that’s a mini plug?”, but knowing her, I knew she’d be fine with the size :-)   It’s about 1 1/4″ at it’s widest and about 4″ insertable length. What is unique about this toy is the twist, you don’t push this in, you twist it in like a screw.  Appropriate, I think, for a sex toy.

Since Veronica was the tester this time (I might try it one of these days, it’s not like I’ve never put a toy in my ass before), here’s what she had to say

The plug is very pretty. I like the jewel accent in the top of the plug, and it is actually pretty enough for display.

I had found the plug initially challenging to insert by myself and it worked better on try number two when Hubman inserted it for me. Something to note is that the plug is ‘Lefty Tighty” instead of “Lefty Loosey”

I find that however, the attractivness of the design does not seem to translate into comfort. I can feel the ridged edges of the corkscrew, and it simply is not for me, it’s actually kind of uncomfortable.

Also when removing the plug, be mindful of the whole “lefty tighty” thing.

I have another plug from this company which I have worn for several hours and even to work out, but I could not imagine participating in anything very active in this.

It did relax my muscles so when Hubman & I sequed to anal sex it was an easy transition and Hubman could slide in to the hilt right away.

While I occasionally enjoy using a butt plug, this particular design was not for me.

I think Veronica messed up. The 1st time she used it, I didn’t help with inserting it. She said it was a little painful, so I asked how she inserted it. Apparently she didn’t twist, she just pushed. No wonder it hurt! The second time she tried, I took over and gently twisted it in and it went much better for her.

She also didn’t mention that she wore it while sitting around in the living room, which is when she found it uncomfortable. Unlike the other plug we have, I’m not sure this one is suited for extended wear outside the bedroom. I also don’t think it was quite as uncomfortable as she made it out to be, as she mentioned her ass was nice and relaxed when I removed it and slide my cock in it’s place.

Nipple Clamps

We’ve reviewed a few toys for The Adult Toy Shoppe before and they’ve been a pleasure to work with, so when I was contacted and asked to select something from either the anal toys or bondage categories, of course I said yes. After browsing around for a bit, I settled on some nipple clamps. Veronica generally prefers a gentler touch on her nipples, but I thought we could give it a try anyway.

Veronica: We were both curious about them.  They arrived pretty quickly in discreet packaging.  We tried them on immediately to do Wanton Wednesday photos.  My 1st thought was “ouch!” but thankfully the clamps were adjustable, so we were able to make them more comfortable for us to wear.  Once on, they were pretty cute.  I liked how they brought my nipples out and I thought the chain gave me a very tough girl look, which is different from the usual cute housewife, naughty librarian look I normally sport.

So while the nipple clamps are well made and are attractive and easy to use, I did not enjoy the product, but I attribute that mostly to the fact that I do not like rough nipple play.  If you want to get into rougher nipple play, I would recommend this product since the clamps are adjustable so you can get used to an increasing amount of pressure.

Yes.. I thought they were interesting but I don’t see how they would benefit me. Someone who enjoyed the rougher stuff would have a use for it.

I was very excited to receive my Lelo Luna Balls to review.  They arrived in a beautiful box, and I loved the colors and the way they felt both smooth and heavy in my hands.

I first tried the smaller pink balls that were in the plastic casing.  I found the plastic holder to be scratchy so I removed it and just wore the balls.  I was kind of expecting the balls to do something.  I understood that they were not going to vibrate, but I thought that they would make happy feelings inside of me.  I then tried the bigger green balls, and while they felt pleasant, I did not find them arousing or stimulating.  I wore them hanging around the house, to work and to the gym.

I felt them the most and like I had to do something to keep them in while I was working out.

I asked some of my other friends and they explained that the balls were supposed to exercise your PC muscle.   So I put them in again and wore them everywhere to see if they would strengthen my PC muscles.  After wearing them for several hours a day, every day for a week, I did not notice that I was gripping Hubman any tighter than usual, and Hubman did not finish fucking me one day and go “Damn your pussy is extra tight today.”

Tantus ProTouch

When the people at Fascinations let me know that they had a Tantus ProTouch they were looking for a guy to review, I was happy to accept the assignment.  After all, before I ever started reviewing sex toys I had bought myself a prostate toy and then got another when the first left me a little disappointed.  As usual, the toy shipped out fast and was in my hot little hands within a matter of days.

About the ProTouch- it’s made of premium silicone, so it’s compatible with any water-based lube.  The insert-able length is about 4.5″, it’s 5/8″ wide at the tip and 1 1/4″ at the widest point.  It comes with a removable vibe that inserts into the base and is powered by 3 watch batteries.  The silicone material is hypoallergenic and can be cleaned by boiling, bleaching (10% solution) and is dishwasher safe.

Pros- the size is just right, at least for me.  It’s not too long or wide to be intimidating, but I definitely knew it was there.  The material is a nice combination of firm yet flexible and is very slick when lube is applied. The vibrations are strong but not too strong and when turned on at the right time really helped send me over the edge.

When I started looking at prostate toys, I was curious to see what prostate stimulation was all about, since I heard that it could intensity an orgasm, and who wouldn’t like that?!  By the criteria, did I like the ProTouch?  Absolutely!  Between the size, shape, and strength of the vibrations, I’m getting a good idea what prostate stimulation can feel like, thankyouverymuch.

Cons- it wouldn’t stay in place.  I’d push it in all the way, let go, reach around for my cock, and it would slip out.  Push it back in, it slips out, again and again.  I wondered that if the neck was a little narrower, more like a butt plug, would it stay in better.  So I reached in the drawer for our glass plug and tested that theory.  Lo and behold, it stayed in just fine.  I will say, if a partner was using this on me, having to hold it in wouldn’t be my problem and could be quite a bit more pleasurable.  Are you paying attention Veronica? It can also be used as a g-spot stimulator, you could try it too ;-)

One other minor complaint- I can’t get the damn bullet vibe back out!  Maybe it’s my lack of experience with silicone toys, but they really should include in the packaging some sort of warning to apply a little lube to the bullet before inserting it.

Thigh and Wrist Cuff Set (Review)

I’ve been a terrible sex toy reviewer- way back in mid-May the wonderful people at The Adult Toy Shoppe sent Veronica and I this Thigh and Wrist Cuff Set, we used the set a few times, including when our submissive unicorn friend came over to play sometime in June, but we totally forgot to write the review.  So with our apologies to The Adult Toy Shoppe for the delay, here’s our review…

Veronica is a fan of being restrained, gently, and we already have under-the-bed restraints, so we figured this set would be a nice addition to our collection.  Personally, I enjoy putting her on her back and fucking her good and hard while her legs are spread wide.  Having these cuffs to help keep her legs wide open and her arms by her side sounded like an very good idea!

The cuffs, as comfortable are they, are quite sturdy and it would be very difficult for someone to get out of them, if that is your goal.  The cuffs are made out of padded neoprene and are quite adjustable, I imagine they would fit a wide range of sizes. Because they are so adjustable, you’re not limited to attaching them to the wrist and thigh, why not try the upper arm, lower or higher on the thigh, or maybe down on the ankle?  Since Veronica has been the only wearer of the thigh and wrist cuff set (so far!), it’s only fitting that she gets a chance to offer her perspective.

The cuffs are very comfortable and the material is soft.  I do like a gentle restraint and these fit the bill.    I am not very good at BDSM because I do not like pain and I do not like to feel trapped.  The cuffs were restraining, and Hubman was probably gentle with the restraining but they did not feel tight or uncomfortable.

I guess we need to clarify, the cuffs are designed to keep the wearers arms down by his or her side and attached to the thighs, they do NOT keep the legs open, but when used with our under-the-bed restraints they do.  Still, used alone the wrist and thigh cuffs are fun, adds a way to tease your partner and prevent him or her from using their hands and adding an element of control.

Thanks again to the Adult Toy Shoppe for sending us this simple yet versatile thigh and wrist cuff set, we look forward to using it many more times in the future, just the two of us or with friends.  Maybe one of these days I’ll end up restrained and at Veronica’s mercy!

Tantus Stroker

About the Tantus Stroker- it is made out of 100% premium silicone, so it’s compatible with water-based lubes, but not silicone-based lubes.  I should point out that the one they sent me is a little different from that listed on the Fascinations website- this is the XL version, which is smooth on the outside and a little longer and wider than the regular version, but otherwise they are the same (I swear, I didn’t ask for the XL version, that’s what they sent me!).  Care is no different than for any other silicone toy, simply wash with antibacterial soap and water or you can boil it for a few minutes or bleached in a 10% bleach solution.  Then just let it air dry completely or use a lint-free cloth and it’ll be ready to use for the next time.

After spending a little time looking at some porn online one day, I decided it was a good time to test the Stroker.  I applied a bit of lube to my cock and slid into the Stroker.  And quickly learned my first lesson- because there was still lube on the palm of my hand, I couldn’t get a good grip, so rather than pumping my cock with the Stroker, my hand was just slipping along the outside.  However, after quickly toweling off my hand, I was good to go.

I’ll admit, I was skeptical about how it might feel, but I liked it!  It’s not the same as my hand or a pussy (of course!) but the ridges inside feel good and by simply adjusting the firmness of my grip I could control the sensation.  I had no trouble with needing to reapply lube and enjoyed using it more than I thought I mind.  In fact, I’ve used it several more times since that first test.

Crystal Delights (Toy Review)

Sometime in May I saw a tweet (from AshlyStar maybe? I can’t remember) mentioning that Fascinations was looking for some sex toy reviewers, so I contacted them, introduced myself and Veronica and asked about becoming a reviewer.  An few e-mails later and the company rep asks

How do you two feel about anal play toys (butt plugs, etc)?

A short while later, we received the Crystal Delights butt plug in the mail.  Isn’t it pretty? The plug is 3 1/2″ long overall, 3″ insertable, the stem is 3/4″ wide and it’s 1 3/8″ at the widest point.  A nice size, but not too big for the anal novice (unlike Veronica, my little anal slut ;-) ).  I should mention that since these are hand-made, they won’t all be exactly the same size; ours is slightly shorter and narrower at the widest point but thicker through the stem than the specs given on the product website.

Since Veronica’s the one on the receiving end (though I may try it myself, it wouldn’t be the first time a toy was in my ass), I’ll turn it over to her now….
