In the past I’ve owned a few cock rings, a few of the flexible rubber or silicone variety, including one with a mini-bullet vibe “for her pleasure.”  But none of them really worked for me, I didn’t quite get the intended effect.  But I also knew that there were other types of cock rings available, including solid metal ones.

But what size?

When purchasing a solid cock ring, it’s important not to get one that is too large, because it will not have the desired constricting effect.  If you get one that is too small, you may not be able to get it on, and if you do succeed, it’ll be too tight, which can cause serious problems.  So I followed the measuring instructions on the Gear Essentials website and decided which size to request.  No, I’m not telling you what size :-p

The package arrived just a matter of days after I requested to review a cock ring and I was pleased to see that the container the ring comes in is nicely suited for storing it.  As a bonus, it’s lined, so there is no tell-tale metal-on-metal rattling around when it’s moved.

Very shortly after the package arrived, I locked myself into the bathroom and proceeded to figure out how to put the damn thing on.  I pulled, gently, one ball through, then the next.  Then wondered how I was going to get my cock through the remaining space in the opening!  Did I get the wrong size?  The combination of a little lube on the inside of the ring and a little, ummm, squeezing and pushing, I got it on.  After my initial consternation about the size, I was pleasantly surprised.  It gently squeezed around the base of my cock and balls, and pushed my balls forward a little bit.  The overall effect was rather stimulating and I couldn’t wait until later that night when I could use it with Veronica.

Cock rings are designed to help provide a firmer, longer lasting erection and may prolong ejaculation.  I can’t attest to the claims about longer lasting erections and prolonged ejaculation, but I sure as hell was harder!  I didn’t notice any temperature effect of the ring, since my handling it to get it on probably warmed it up a little bit.

Veronica: To be honest, I had never really understood the appeal of a cock ring.  I had always thought that it was a tool for men who could not maintain a quality erection.  Since Hubman is hard and ready for action whenever the situation requires I did not think it was something we needed.

I liked the look of the ring and teased Hubman about needing to hide it so PP would not try to use it as a bracelet.  It is smooth to the touch and feels heavy in the hand.  Once Hubman got the ring on, I began to understand the appeal of the cock ring.  I liked the way that the ring brought his beautiful balls front and center and how it made the veins on his cock more pronounced.  I like prominent cock veins as they are nature’s form of ribbing for my pleasure.

I did not notice a difference in Hubman being harder in the cock ring than without, but I liked the feeling of his balls hitting me and the slightly pushed out angle provided me with some good stimulation.  I also liked the way his cock head and veins were more pronounced and how that felt inside me.

The cock ring is not something I would want for every encounter, but it does add a fun dimension to sex.
