I got “home” from “work” around 4pm Tuesday and decided to stay in for the night, no bike ride and I would order out for dinner.
Pizza hit the spot!
Now I’ll have to ride a few extra miles on Wednesday evening to make up for it….
Last weekend I got a wireless router for my room here in San Antonio. I wasn’t looking forward to being tethered to the wall by an ethernet cable and wanted to be able to move between the desk, chair, and bed at will.
I said something about my purchase on Twitter, and someone, I can’t remember who, said they liked the idea of me being tethered.
And inspiration was born…
Two years ago this weekend Veronica and I had a little weekend getaway and took a bunch of pictures while we were at it. Since I’m not there to take new pictures of her, she’s visiting the archives for an outtake from that weekend.
HAPPY HALF-NEKKID THURSDAY!!
Another benefit of moving out of the hotel and into my new accommodations? A much better view than of I-410 and the associated construction that’s been going on!
On top of that, my rooms faces towards the west, so I can see some pretty nice sunsets!
(If the pics don’t look that clear, I’m blaming the dirty-on-the-outside windows…)
One of the (many) downsides to living in the hotel is the dining arrangement. I can eat for free in the cafeteria at work, but on a day like Thursday, when we’re released at 2:30, it’s not exactly worth it to make the 12 mile round trip back for cafeteria food in the evening.
The alternative? Dine out, which gets expensive after a while, or dine in. Thursday’s culinary delight? 4-cheese pizza Hot Pockets.
I can’t wait to move out of the hotel and into lodging near work next week….
