A Friday afternoon walk around a local state park. The parking lot is empty, closed off for the season.
(I parked by the boat ramp, which is still open)

There’s not a soul around the picnic area

The rental canoes and kayaks are stacked and locked up

And there’s a hint of fall in the trees

The remnants of Tropical Storm Hermine hit the San Antonio area on Tuesday and into early Wednesday, dumping about 6″ of rain on the area.  At this time, I think this sign isn’t really necessary!

See all of the brush in the water? That’s all piled up at the guardrail where the road crosses the stream.  Except today, and probably for the next several days, the stream crosses the road!

Tuesday night we got about 4-5″ of snow, which turned to rain sometime before sunrise.
Then on Thursday and Friday we had almost 2″ of rain.  Driving home I saw this sign

I’ve seen a little flooding at this location before, maybe an inch of water on the road, but nothing like this!!
