Princess Persistent has a cute habit of “hiding” when I get the camera out, like she doesn’t like having her photo taken, which couldn’t be further from the truth!
Poor Princess Persistent, Saturday afternoon Veronica took her ice skating, which she normally LOVES. This time, she was lethargic and not into it. By the time evening rolled around, she was running a fever and complaining that it hurt when she swallowed.
Sunday morning Veronica managed to get an appointment with the pediatrician for her and our suspicion was correct- PP has strep throat, and plenty of Amoxicillin!
Veronica has a conference in Boston on Friday and Saturday, with numerous evening social opportunities. Instead of driving the 35 miles back and forth each day, we figured she could spend the night and enjoy a little getaway while I took care of the kids.
I tucked PP into bed and offered to read her a story. “Dad, I can read a book to myself!”
Well okay then, I’ll just take a photo to show mom when she returns on Saturday afternoon
Pine needles, that is!
(I know, some of my pervier friends thought of something different!)
This is what remains after the tree was set up for 3 weeks and then a ton of needles were knocked off when the ornaments and lights were removed. It doesn’t help that Princess Persistent was “helping” Veronica.
I decided to trade in my Nikon D90 for this beauty. What do you think?
Obviously, I’m kidding. My dad was visiting over the weekend and we celebrated Christmas a little early with him. He got this camera for Princess Persistent, and she loves it, she’s already gone through 1 set of batteries. My little junior photographer was also asking when she could go on a photo walk with me, I told her it was a little too cold on Sunday, but soon. She’s too cute!
During my pressure-washing binge on Saturday, I accidentally blasted a small ceramic pot off the back deck, sending it crashing to the ground below and breaking into pieces.
Later in the day Princess Persistent appeared holding a small dish. In the dish was every little piece of the broken pot. She was sad that the pot that SHE painted was broken, so she gathered up all of the pieces so that daddy could make it all better.
