That’s the reflection of the fireplace in PPs eye. It’s pretty cool looking, if I may say so myself :-)

Please tell me I’m not the only one with a collection of unknown keys laying around the house!!

I definitely could have gone with a lower ISO and slower shutter speed….

The dog was sleeping but her eyes were open, it was kind of creepy looking. I wanted to get a picture but apparently she was just lightly sleeping, she woke up when I moved near her.

So here she is, looking at me and wondering “what are you doing pointing that thing in my face?”

Click to open in a new window and zoom to 100%, the combination of the D700 and my macro lens really yields some impressive details!

I’ve got about 3 hrs of labor into repainting DBs room so far, and I haven’t even opened the can of paint I’ll be using on the walls yet. I think the most time-consuming part was cleaning and emptying an 11 year old’s room, what a mess!

Friday afternoon I had some free time, so I took a leisurely drive around and looked for photo possibilities. After all, I’ve got a Nikon D700 that I rented in my hot little hands for 2 weeks! It was nice to wander without a destination in mind.

I hope it’s obvious why this sign is superfluous!

Somewhere back in the woods, judging by the size of this pile (and more I didn’t photograph), a LOT of land is being cleared!

Old graveyards fascinate me. Who was this man, why did he emigrate from Ireland, what caused his death at the age of 34?

Veronica signed up for an Intro to CrossFit class, it runs 3 nights a week, this week and next. I started CrossFit in December and she decided to give it a try too once she saw how much I’m enjoying it. While she’s out in the evening, I’m the target Princess Persistent’s laser-like focus, which includes an un-told number of games of Go Fish…

Princess Persistent has a cute habit of “hiding” when I get the camera out, like she doesn’t like having her photo taken, which couldn’t be further from the truth!

These flowers, part of the headband that PP was wearing yesterday, were the closest thing to real flowers in our house on Valentine’s Day!

Poor Princess Persistent, Saturday afternoon Veronica took her ice skating, which she normally LOVES. This time, she was lethargic and not into it. By the time evening rolled around, she was running a fever and complaining that it hurt when she swallowed.

Sunday morning Veronica managed to get an appointment with the pediatrician for her and our suspicion was correct- PP has strep throat, and plenty of Amoxicillin!

Nothing like a cold Saturday afternoon and relaxing by a fire…
