Here it is, the starting line for the Boston Marathon, along with a view of the first several hundred yards of the course.
Two random observations-
From the runners perspective, the words painted on the starting line are upside down. For the benefit of the cameras at the start of the race, as runners are toeing the line?
The cops kept stopping traffic so runners (and others, I guess) could come stand in the road and have their photo taken while standing on the starting line. Some drivers didn’t look too happy about having to wait. Umm, you’re passing through the town common where the oldest (modern) marathon in the world starts, the day before the race, wtf do you expect?
