Day 261 – New Meaning to Doggie Style

Bear with me, this is a funny story.

Our first 2 nights in Pittsburgh we stayed at a hotel. My sister and her family were staying at my moms, so there was no room for us. They left for home in NY on Friday so we were able to check out and stay at my moms for our last night there.

At my moms there are 2 spare beds, both in the basement, 1 a regular sized bed and the other a fold out couch. Darling Boy slept upstairs with grandma, so it was just Princess Persistent on the couch.

Once she was sound asleep, Veronica and I figured that it was safe to have sex, since she’s a pretty sound sleeper. We start out laying on our sides with me entering her from behind, then I roll her onto her stomach and pick up the pace.

Missing

The longer I’m away from home, the more I miss some things.  The other day Veronica commented that she misses the simple pleasure of sleeping next to me, listening to me breath and feeling my hand resting somewhere on her body.  It passed after a few minutes, and it certainly wasn’t her intention, but that little comment evoked a deep feeling of sadness that I really didn’t expect.

Yesterday MsTigerX texted me some pictures of the view from her porch, overlooking the yard.  Next thing I know, I’m thinking about my deck at home and the simple pleasure of sitting out back, watching with kids play in the yard.

In no particular order, other things I’m missing
- laying out on the hammock in the evening (see that header image above? You get the idea)
- tucking my kids into bed at night
- random acts of affection with Veronica throughout the day
- when my daughter climbs onto my lap for snuggles for no apparent reason
- date night with Veronica
- bike rides with my son
- taking the dog for a walk around the block with the kids
- feeling Veronica’s, well, everything
- home cooking
- our evening routine, kids in bed, Veronica and I relaxing together, finishing off the day with quality naked time
- and so much else.

8 more days and I’m on the road, 11 more days and I’m walking in the front door and into the arms of my family.

And there’s this too ;-)

Too Tired

Last weekend I told Veronica that I wanted to try to have sex/fuck/make love every day this week, leading up until I go away for work this coming Sunday.  We made it 4 days in a row, then Tuesday night rolled around.

We crawled into bed, turned out the lights, then Veronica said to me “I’m kinda tired, can I interest you in some morning lovin’ instead?”

Wednesday morning I wake up around 6:15 and wonder what happened to her promise.  Normally her alarm goes off at 5:45, which wakes us both up.  Did she change her mind? Oversleep? Over the years, the kids have amassed quite the stuff animal collection.  PP likes to bring all as many of them as we’ll allow to the living room and arrange them around the coffee table, on the couch, or on my chair.

Not that sick!

Today Veronica stayed home from work, as she had been fighting a bug all week, then this morning her throat was killing her, so much so that she couldn’t eat a thing. She got to the doctors office mid-morning and was diagnosed with strep throat.

All together now, “Awww, poor Veronica!”

Anyway, she got some prescription drugs, took a nice nap and is starting to feel better.  A short while ago, she was downstairs with PP while I was (still am!) sitting uptairs watching TV with DB when I got the following text:

Proposition for you: once the kids go to bed, you, me, leopard dress, boots, couch, I face the wall until you cum in my mouth

Keeping Track

Whenever the “How often do you have sex?” type of question comes in a TMI Tuesday or elsewhere, we usually indicate somewhere between 5-8 times a week.

But honestly, we have no idea.  Sitting here and thinking back over the last week or so, since New Years Day, I can recall Veronica and I having sex 5 times.

So I’m going to start keeping track! I have a note started in my iPhone and will note the date whenever Veronica and I [with or without friends!] have sex.  Whether I share this info with my readers or not at some time in the future remains to be seen ;-)

On a completely unrelated note, I’m really having fun with my Project365 and am really happy with the comments the pictures are generating.  So far I’ve found myself relying on the auto modes built into the camera and not using manual mode, instead focusing on the composition of the shots.  With time, I’m sure I’ll transition to more and more manual mode pictures.

I’m also pleased to see that some other bloggers have started their own Project365s. I want to create a separate blogroll to highlight them, but don’t want to leave anyone out.  Here are the bloggers I can think of off the top of my head:
