How early? I took this photo at 4:17pm on Tuesday.
And no, not while I was driving, the light just turned green and there were several cars between me and the light!
We still have 13 more days until the Winter Solstice, it’s only going to get worse before it gets better…
I hit the road from San Antonio around 10:00am and made really good time.
I reached the Texas-Arkansas border around dinner time, stopped for gas and food, and realized that I was on State Line Ave.
On the left side of the road, Texarkana Texas

I kept going after that, I figured that I would drive until I got tired, which turned out to be near Little Rock. Along the way, I noticed the color of the sky over my left shoulder and looked for a spot to stop and get a picture of the horizon. Fortunately I found one before the sun set any further, unfortunately the power lines detract from the picture. Oh well…
Totally on impulse I picked up a circular polarizing filter for my camera a few weeks ago.
Now if only I had remembered to take a comparison photo without the filter…
I was driving home with Darling Boy on Thursday evening when he proclaimed “Hey dad, check out that sunset!”
